Space Project #4

This project was for my Art Foundations: Space class.

This project focused on folding paper and vellum to create modular structures. The purpose was to work with planes instead of just linear forms. For this project, I focused on using modular origami flower shapes with black sketching paper and white vellum to create contrast and create unique and interesting patterns and transparency. The piece is suspended in such a way that is can free spin. This piece was inspired by Japanese aesthetics and made with traditional folds.
